I swear I saw a Media Reader for iPod at the Bay Street Apple Store (Emeryville, CA) last night. It was made by Belkin (though I don't see it on their list of iPod products at the time of this writing) and there was only one in the store.
If it does what it claims it'll do, digital photographers on a shoot will no longer need to carry their powerbooks. They can clear up their cards in the middle of a shoot by dumping it on their iPods. Apparently, the software had always been on the device's firmware. I'll have more when I pick up the reader this morning.
