Producing Visual Stories Online
As an addendum to the entry below (Museums and the Web), I should also mention that Bart of Terra Incognita will be one of the visiting professionals for an upcoming seminar at Poynter entitled Producing Visual Stories Online. Ashley Wells of MSNBC will also be one of the visiting professionals (yours truly will be co-directing with Anne Conneen).

The deadline for applying to this seminar is June 21…so apply now! The week-long seminar will be held in the 3rd week of August. Here’s a short promo:

"Producing innovative, user-friendly stories online is a unique process that requires creative thinking and a diverse set of skills. This seminar will take you to the next level of conceptualizing, planning, organizing, and designing online stories. You’ll explore all of the devices of interactive storytelling including video, sound (ambient and voice-over), motion, navigation, and editing. You’ll leave with a better understanding of how to maximize the experience of online content for your user, and you’ll develop a strategy for planning stories that will be told in print, online, and broadcast environments."
