Just came back from my annual stint at The Poynter Institute's Summer VJ Fellowship and, again, had a great time. This time around we had the VJ fellows produce a multiple-media story with stills and audio narratives. We used some brand spankin' new tools that allowed the students to produce their stories in record time. Among the tools was the Marantz PMD660 which I will offer a short review in a jiffy.

But let's focus on their stories. You can check out the full list of multimedia stories @ their Week Four Projects Page. But certain highlights for me are listed below:

• The Bench Monologues: a great take on a single subject. And great recovery after their initial story fell through.
  
• 24 Hours On, 48 Hours Off: nicely designed package and some quality audio narrative.
  
• Scary Stories: perfect example of using type for your visual narrative. Why not?
  
• What Happens When Buffett Meets Sinatra: when you couldn't get audio at that moment...what do you do? VO, baby, VO.
