Rocketboom on my TiVo
I've been meaning to create an entry on the new vlogging craze...or at least the growing popularity of putting together your own vlogs and making them available either through your own RSS feeds or through iTunes. Some cool new content worthy of Narratives mention:
Travis Fox on WashingtonPost.com (WPNI videos are consistently on the top of video podcasts on iTunes)
The Roanoke Times' TimesCast vlog
PodGuide.tv (resource via:tyahma)
But what really got me excited about where this is all going is when I subscribed to the TiVo Video Download and within 24-hours there's Rocketboom on my TiVo's "Now Playing" listings. Brilliant! This is where I want to see this type of content...on my TV (or in this case, my plasma). Sorry, but I'm doing something else when I'm on my computer. I want interaction on my computer time. But if it's straight up linear...give it to me when I choose to be passive...on my TiVo, Video iPod...Treo.
Thanks TiVo and of course, Andrew Baron & Amanda Congdon of RocketBoom! Keep up the great work.
