Photo Blogs & Aggregators

merc.jpgIn the last few weeks, I’ve been noticing more photo departments in news organization convert their photo pages into photo blogs. Here’s a quick scan of those we’ve recognized in the past and some new ones that others have pointed out to me.

  • Mercury News Photo
  • Chicago Tribune Photo Desk
  • Final Frame (Lexington Herald-Leader)
  • Video Journal (Spokesman Review)

Obviously, there are tons more out there, so let me know the URLs and I’ll add it to this list and/or my delicious newsphotopage tag.

Also, folks have repeatedly emailed me a couple of sites that are aggregators of excellent photo and multimedia stories. These sites should already be in your regular feed…but just in case…

  • Magnum in Motion: if you’re a frequent visitor to Interactive Narrative, you should already be aware of this site. There’s obviously some fantastic interactive essay and special projects.
  • Blue Eyes Magazine: big 2005 NPPA-BOP winner re-launched a newly designed site last month.

For a full list check out the resource page.
